Indian automobile industry is in upword swing with Maruti reporting highest ever sales in sept 2010. Maruti has crosses a monthly sales of one lakh units and this is the forth time they have achieved it.
Tata motors were not far behind and they too reported a higher sales of their vehicles in September. There is of course Hyundai Motors which posted a lower sales for Sept. When it comes to exports, Tata Motors and Maruti reported a higher sales while Hyundai Motors lagged behind.
Maruti Suzuki sales for September were close to 108,006 units which was much higher then 83,306 vehicles last year.
However, sales of once primary model of Maruti i.e. Maruti 800 were 1,608 vehicles which was 49.9 per cent lower then same time last year i.e. 3,207 vehicles.
Tata Motors sales for September were close to 64,668 vehicles which was much higher then 52,513 vehicles last year i.e. growth of 23 per cent.
Hyundai Motors sold 51,441 units in September which is lower then 53,802 units which they sold in Sept. 2009, a decline of 4.4%.
