Even at top speeds, you will notice that the SRV remains stable. With highest speed of 171 kmph, the SRV delivers 101 PS without hassle. Acceleration isn’t the best, but the car goes from 0 to 100 kmph in a respectable time of 11.83 seconds. Fuel efficiency isn’t the best in the segment but terrific tuned-suspension makes this car a performer.
As for the exteriors, visualize the Optra with the boot gone. The bow-tie design is very Chevrolet with revised head light and tail lamp design. Add to this a sharply raked rear windscreen for the sporty attitude. Though ground clearance seems more than what’s necessary, the car puts forth a solid stance. Hatches normally look tiny from the outside, but this one surprises with roomy interiors that other cars could take a cue from. Seating is comfortable and rear seats are accommodating. However, the interior plastics could’ve been of much better quality. Boot space is okay enough but not that great.
Safety features are jut about okay, with the car lacking ABS. The car comes with many standard hatchback convenience attributes (like cooled glove box, 6-speaker audio and Power windows), but you get some more if you go for the option pack.
Our verdict: If you are willing to splurge on a trendy hatch, go for the SRV. It will sure turn a few heads and get you noticed along with being a smooth drive.
