The Low Rider S is an excellent example of a modern H-D bike. It is a significant and loud style, yet smooth and refined simultaneously.
The Low Rider S is a cruiser motorcycle built around a Softail chassis. The S model gets a different styling, premium components, and a higher price tag when compared to the standard Low Rider.
For the Rider in You
This is the right bike for rebels searching the classic West Coast Style. Alongside aggressive riding with sport bike agility and handling. The Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine, coupled with moto-style drag bars, makes it an ideal choice.
Originally introduced as an extension of the Dyna platform, then as a Softail in 2020, the Low Rider Softail model has been refined and updated for 2024. The latest version has retained the muscular character and classic style that defined previous LR S models.
Best Rides On Two Wheels
The Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine is solid and well-tuned. However, ergonomics are tight for relaxed rides. But when compared to other H-D models, the LR S is great for shifting your weight around in corners. Sadly, the cornering clearance is still limited in this model.

The initial power delivery of the Low Rider S is very smooth. But there is plenty of power to tap throughout the running range. The Milwaukee 117 produces over 100 lb.-ft. Of torque from 500 rpm after idle to 500 rpm before redline. It peaks at 115 lb.-ft. At 3,200 rpm as it sounds fuller.
Basic & Simple
Built on a tubular steel frame with a 43mm inverted fork and a single rear shock, the latest version of the Low Rider S shows a new, longer mono shock that adds a half inch of stroke and a full inch of travel.
The fork provides a different feel than the shock. It is plusher and forgiving. However, it maintains a firm feel while being pushed through mountainous terrain. Moreover, the fork feels too soft on the hard brake application. As a result, it brings more dives than is customarily preferred. And to top it all, the packed H-D Low Rider S comes with a two-year warranty.
Dual four-piston calipers handle brakes in the LR S on 300mm discs at the front. A single two-piston caliper on a 292mm disc takes care at the rear. The front brake lever is exceptional and pushes backward with steady pulses as the system works to stop the bike.
It is Not Just Riding, and It’s a Feeling
The rear brake feel is vague. But then the LR S stops from 60 mph in just over 135 feet. This is on par with other acclaimed performance-oriented bikes across the world. This highlights the performance capabilities of the motorbike. But unfortunately, all these lineaments grant a single-rider experience only.
